Interview invitation from POI. Area: Robotics/Control. Background: MS ME in top US university, no publication, 3+ years research experience.

Did anyone got any interview call or admit from the department? or any idea when we can expect the admission results? TIA

Had interviews last week and the professor email with an informal confirmation.

Got in with 6k scholarship(international student). 1 internship with an American multinational company. No publication, Good SOP, not a high undergraduate GPA. This is my best admit so far. Most likely going. I'm So so happy.

Accepted. Interviewed with a faculty in December, but the acceptance letter doesn't mention any faculty or funding information. Can I ask the accepted PhDs, do they mention any funding information in the offer letter? Or are we supposed to do TA in the first year while looking for advisor ourselves? Background: master's degree in ME from top US university, no publication, mostly doing robotics and control, planning to do that as well in PhD.

If I remember right, I submitted almost all my apps in December.

Ttpb: Thank you! My area is systems level renewable energy with an emphasis on AI/ML's role in it.

If the trends from last year are true we may expect a decision in 48-72 hours. All the best to everyone.

Ngl I didn't put my heat into all the 'boxes' with the character limit that they ask for. Pretty annoying when you are so anxious and trying to apply for so many schools, but they ask you for something so specific. I received an offer from UCSD so I am relieved. But hoping they change their applications. Background- fully funded MS from UC Irvine, I have multiple publications + strong recommendations. I was probably a bad fit. Anyway, good luck guys! I mailed the grad office a week ago. The mail copy is below. …........…................................................. We are hoping to send decisions out somewhere between mid to late February. There will be no interviews.

I did a fully-funded MSc from UC Irvine, have multiple publications. Contacting faculty helped the most. Had been in conversation with faculty since before December 2020. I had multiple chats about past research, future interests, and how I could fit with the group. The faculty informed me of my acceptance before I got my official letter. Received full funding of 30k$/ annual onwards GSR.
