To the post below, one people who applied last year and who I know received and accepted offer in January. Another one who applied this year, received offer, and decided to take the offer after spending a time which might not be short after receiving offer. They all reach out to POI and have strong recommendation letter from their advisor to POI who recommender has tie with.

GPA was not enough good.

Interviewed on 03/18. Got admit mail on 03/22.

Accepted with 33% funding first year, 25% second and third year. Applied for Fellowship in Theology, Medicine, and Culture as well but was rejected. Also accepted into Princeton Theological Seminary, Fuller, Gordon-Conwell and Asbury. Rejected from Yale Divinity School.

Duke is super generous with aid (30k+/year)! Poor kid like me can actually afford to go there and get one of the best educations out there. Very glad I applied to the MEM program and will be going for sure!

Attended a visit weekend in March. No research experience, 2 internships.

For all still waiting to hear - a small group was invited to campus for a visit and it seems like that was going to be the immediate waitlist. I believe both acceptances posted here have accepted their offers, FYI.

WTH with Duke's Master in statistical science?! I get accepted by Stanford's MS in STAT. But rejected by Duke? Are you kidding me?????

To the Post Below, according to my best knowing and experiences in the past, International and Domestic Applicants are not differentiated from each other and the decision about the admission to both of these two types of applicants are made around the same time. For both international and domestic applicants, waiting till April is necessary only when they are on waiting list as back-up choice. Statistically speaking, In vast majority cases, the official rejection letter comes at that time.

Waiting until Admitted Students Day (March 28-29 for the poster who asked when it was) to talk to students/faculty and see if the program will be the best fit for me. My stats were quant/verb/uGPA 161/163/4.0 with several independent undergrad research projects. Good luck to all waitlisted or still waiting to hear back!

The latest update I have is that the decisions will be available by the end of March.

International student. Not surprised as I've collected a bunch of serious math and computer science courses during my undergraduate, and it seems that they paid off.
