200 applicants for only four spots. 2a/1w/5r/2p.

2nd waitlist...very nice email from Keith Scribner

1a/0w/4r/5p Funding pending.

Email to check portal. An acceptance, a waitlist, and a rejection--all in the span of thirty minutes! This process is so wild.

Email from program director, after a preliminary phone call two days ago. :) So excited!!

Brief email from Elizabeth Poliner, unranked waitlist.

Emailed by Lisa Radcliff at 4:30pm. Allegedly unranked wait list and won't hear more until after 4/4. 0a/1w/3r/2p

To the Temple poster below--I was offered funding but am planning to decline. Hang in there! Good news could be coming your way next Monday or Tuesday

I called the NYU creative writing office yesterday to see if they are still sending out acceptance notifications or if I should infer from their silence a...rejection. They were so sweet and said notifications will still be going out into next week. Maybe they just say that regardless, but a glimmer of hope nonetheless.

Received a call from Paige Ackerson-Kiely, the associate directer of the program, informing me of my admission with news of an email to follow which would include funding information. It's funny how you can only enjoy acceptances for a brief moment, when you're still waiting to hear from your top programs. The anticipation always wins. Good luck to everyone out there trying. Its hard work. 2a, 3r, 5p and no WL.

I was notified via email that I was accepted today, and a letter would be sent out soon. However, I was wait-listed for funding. This is the only university I've applied to. Without funding, I cannot go. Feeling pretty crushed. For anyone waitlisted for acceptance - be hopeful - my spot will become available for you!

Very kind email saying I am a finalist and setting up a time for an online interview.
