Very nice email from one of the faculty of the program letting me know that my application was in the top 40, but that they cannot offer admission (did not interview).

Received a reply to the email that I had sent to graduate co-ordinator asking for status of application. No updates on portal yet.

I want to know why....sad

Dejected. Dream school. 3 rejects, 2 more to go. Lost all hopes. I don't understand how the admission process works.

they have accepted another person with the resume like me with really lower GPA for fall, 2016 ! Shame :(

No funding from Penn State but funded by an external institution. Am I required to accept by April 15?

I had posted below that they had not sent me an email after updating my status to "Decision made" for 2 weeks. I contacted them and they sent me an email that I have not been accepted. I have been accepted in UMich and Northeastern and still waiting for Purdue, Virginia Tech and University of Toronto.

To the post below, I also haven't got any response yet although I was told that I should get a decision by 15th March by the graduate coordinator. Some rejections have been given too as you can see in this forum, so I'm still hoping for positive result. Fingers crossed.

To the poster below, I have not gotten a response from the program also. I think it's too early to suggest a rejection, we can only stay hopeful.

Is there anyone still waiting for Penn State result? Haven't hard anything yet, does it imply a rejection?
