Applied directly from undergrad with limited research/field experience.

TTPB, there is an unofficial PhD offer posted on March 4th, but you can only see it if you search for results from your phone/tablet.

Intend for a Ph.D. study at first, but later I contacted my POI to know that they have limited funding for me. The great advice from Gradcafe is that you should contact them if you have other funding sources

ignore waitlist, has anyone who applied to the Dual program or only archives heard anything from the program?

Rejected off waitlist

this is my dream school waitlisted for more than 1 month and finally get rejected. But my PI is very kind and explains that they have to fewer fundings during COVID.

Ignore the status. I haven't got anything back from UBC. I saw someone before say that he or she had seen an acceptance posted in March. Could I ask where the acceptance was posted? I haven't seen any results this year on the GradCafe. (I don't know why but I can't make a comment on any results so I ask this question in this way.)

Master's degree, 2 years industry experience, 4 years research experience

A bit surprise it is not a straight rejection. 3.9+ GPA DS major from a small college. 2 relevant internships. No GRE nor publication

The last decision I was still waiting for. MSCS has been extraordinarily competitive this season. Fall '23 applicants, please apply to more safe schools and alternative programs along with the MSCS ones, it honestly saved my MS dream.

Ignore waitlist. Has anyone heard back from UBC? this is getting ridiculous. I've seen an acceptance posted in March -- which means that they've probably sent out all the offers. Why are they letting applicants wait for this long?

Came from economics who worked for 14-year as a software developer at a government institution. Being one of the applicants who get a massive wave of rejection today.

No words. Just done with the rejections this season. Good luck to everyone who got in.

One research paper , 1 year of experience and 3 internships. all the best y'all spent way too much time here

No surprises there, fortunately already got into my #1. Best of luck y'all!
