To those who have waitlisted, I will choose UChicago.

TPB: Nope, I got the waitlist email in Feb, but havent heard back till now. Just checking if anyone heard anything

TPB: Did you really get the wait-listed e-mail on 31 March?

Any news or development on those who are waitlisted? this is my last hope..

Rejected from the PhD program (I was on the waitlist since January 31st; they said they won't be accepting anyone else from the waitlist for PhDs) and accepted into the masters' program.

You application and supporting documents have been carefully reviewed by the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science department and by The Graduate School. As is often the case, the number of well-qualified applicants for admission to the Duke University Graduate School far exceeds the number of available places. Consequently, we are unable to admit all applicant judged capable of successful graduate work, and I regret that we cannot offer you admission to the Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Ph.D. program. I guess it's a rejection but I cannot log in yet because their system is complete rubbish. It asks me to make an account just to check the decision. It doesn't load properly. One of the worst application processes. Duke, you should be ashamed! Note to future applicants, don't bother applying here.
