Accepted with full funding via a lovely email

~4 years research, 3 pubs TTPB: which interview date did you attend? i thought interviews were 2/22 and 3/1

I had a great conversation with a prospective PI last year and was encouraged to apply, but I guess I wasn't as good of a fit as other applicants. 4.0 Master's GPA and significant research experience. Oh well, congrats to everyone accepted!

Got accepted into the Master's program though

Does anyone know what's going on? It seems like there were some acceptances and then things went quiet? Anyone know when we should expect to hear from the department?

Community college transfer student with weak academic start but strong upwards trajectory (Upper division GPA 3.8, xfer GPA 3.2). 6 months research experience in applied mathematics & computation. No publications. Internship in industry. Did not submit GRE scores. Rejected from PhD program but offered admission to non-funded masters. Follow up on: "Received an email from a professor letting me know and asking to have a call to discuss my interests..." Received a financial aid offer of $6k/term. Not terrible!

Accepted with funding; requires 1 quarter of TA and is renewable for 3 years

Don't go to this program. There is not any flexible course you can choose and you have to follow one of the pathways. Also, the department doesn't allow you to drop any course for any reason. Professors didn't care about the teaching and therefore you can not get a perfect grade in your courses. Also, the department doesn't provide any research opportunities for capstone students and they don't accept ms capstone students to be PhD. Now, none of the first-year students in this program (admitted in 2020) find any internships. It is an entirely money-oriented program so don't come to this program
