Received an email for a decision result, and I have been placed on the waitlist.

Randomly checked the application portal and found the decision letter. No decision date available. Dear xxxx, I am sorry to inform you that we cannot offer you admission to the Ph.D. in Electrical and Systems Engineering, PhD Program at the University of Pennsylvania for the Fall 2021 term. Sent them an email to ask for updates to my application a few days ago and today I got the rejection. As if I pushed them to reject me :/

Generic rejection letter. I am still waiting for MA math decision, which seems more feasible for my background.

Got an email out of the blue about admission decision. Never took the GRE. IELTS score is 8.

Not surprised at all, been waiting for this to come in now for weeks, at least it's official.
