Went for the phD, got the Masters. Still extremely pumped and it's better than the news about U Chicago's MAPH. Waiting to hear back from 2 more, but probably will take this. WHY NOT

Rejected to PHD, offered admission to MA. What is everyone thinking about this? I have three rejections and possibly two wait lists.

Before being so quick to call IFA's MA a cash cow, be sure to see where their alumni are currently working.

Offered MA spot. Not sure if I should be mildly flattered or if they hand out MA admits left and right but will definitely not be their cash cow for the next 2 years.

Rejected from PhD (expected since I wasn't interviewed), but offered a spot in the MA program with travel grant. Will not be attending as I have a PhD offer from Columbia, but I'm glad I at least got an MA offer. :)

I applied to the PhD program but I am honored, really. I don't know how I'd pay for this but it's worth considering.

They know how to keep it classy over there! Letter came from a non-art historian with typos! Very pleased to announce I will be obtaining my PhD at an institution of comparable quality. Good luck and hang in there guys! :)
