Rejected upon inquiry for Penn state. It waste me too much time to get the result! Also, Rice University still haven't sent me the results and never replied students' emails. What an irresponsible department it is! F***!

Totally unexpected! was a safe university but still denied admission.

Finally happy to hear after 4 rejects!. I am from india. No funding and temporary advisor. What does temporary advisor mean? (Do I need to search for an advisor after going there)

I hadnt heard anything from Penn State and the portal was still awaiting decision, so I emailed about a month ago and heard nothing until today. Apparently I had been waitlisted and they thought they had sent an email, but stated that there had been a glitch so... today was the first email I actually received. I was accepted by other schools (including an Ivy) so I'm not sad, just annoyed.

"There is not room for you this year."

Has PSU sent out many admits? Did anyone mail the department asking for decisions. I haven't heard from them and it's been nearly four months since their deadline passed.

Does not include funding in letter. too much epensive to do a Phd without funding
