ttpb: email came with an official letter but I don't think the portal has been updated. They didn't offer info on the admission stats either

Got caught up in the second wave of massive rejections, but expected anyway. Hoping for chances elsewhere.

I'm the poster below who had asked if anyone had heard back. Email to check portal, what a wonderful surprise. Will wait until after visit days to make a final decision, but the offer looks quite attractive.

Surprising, looks like COVID really pumped up the amount of American talent applying this cycle.

About time.

Rejected after interview. TPB: What other offers are you declining. Desperately in need of some hope here.

Although "rejections are impending," a wave of acceptances is impending as well. The admission process has been delayed due to COVID, so MIT is a few weeks behind the trends of previous years. I reached out to the admissions department regarding this. If you don't believe me you can ask them yourself. They are trying the best they can.

Excited. It's been a long wait. I will very likely commit and turn down the remaining offers.

Are the bulk rejections a sure thing? Is there any chance for another round of acceptances being handed out? And have 'Masters' results been out at all? I have seen a majority of PhD posts on this page only. Hoping for the best. Best of luck everyone!

Check portal. wl after the interview. Does anyone get the offer?
