Beaming with excitement!!!!

very late, aren't they? 逆に良かった

Anyone else receive a postcard from the professor who interviewed them? I'm sure it's standard, but I was impressed!

Told via email to check application online; no word on funding (financial aid office said notifications go out next week).

can't get a break. 7th reject. fml. :(

I sent an email to check status and got the unofficial rejection. It seems like NYU has sent out all of their admits and waitlists (although I am not sure). The grad secretary mentioned that I will get the official rejection from grad school in a few days. I guess that's why there is a time lag between their admits/waitlists and rejects. The rejects are supposed to be sent from grad school but not the department...

Dear ...: This is in regard to your application to the Department of Music in the Graduate School of Arts and Science for the fall, 2011 semester. Your application has been received and carefully reviewed. We regret to inform you that we are not able to extend an offer of admission. Please be aware that the applications for admission this year are particularly strong, and we have been unable to welcome all of our promising candidates for admission. We thank you for your interest in New York University and wish you the greatest success in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Roberta S. Popik Associate Dean

This was pretty crushing, not going to lie...

No worries...going to my first choice!

Booo. No big city for me.
