Soo happy!

Knew I was rejected but finally got the email. However, I'm not too upset because I'm working on perfecting my powers of telekinesis.

informal admission by email from a professor. official letter to follow.

Rutgers is in financial disarray right now and I believe they have almost no funding.

Already posted below when I checked the website a few days ago. This morning I got an email that said all the right things, but the tone was still somewhat harsh.

For the future applicant, if you search this website, there is no record at all showing that this department recruited PhD student recent years. Some said they applied for PhD program, but had been admitted by the Master program. I have strong background and have got interview from institute much more stronger than this department. So I guess they are running funding difficulties. Please think twice when you apply, don't waste your application fee.

Nice form rejection from grad admissions director.

"You have been recommended for admission without financial support." Sad. Can't afford to go to the school. Engineering + MBA from top schools in India. Will surely decline. Best of luck guys. No email checked status in website just now.

Informal by email

Only just now happened to see on the Web site that, "Your name has been placed on a a wait list." No other notification yet. No idea about chances or, if admitted, funding. Will write to them next week.

With funding

Was interviewed 3 weeks ago and never heard back when I attempted to contact my interviewer. No e-mail pertaining to application status. Just logged into to see my application was denied. Really disappointed with their process and the outcome :(
