Got an email first thing this morning to check my student portal. So excited! Good luck to everyone!

Offered a spot on the waitlist. Said that if a funded position becomes available, they will immediately receive a revised offer of admission. Also, mentioned that there are over 150 applicants for 10 students. Is there anyone getting the same offer?

Phone call from POI letting me know I got in!!! Super excited!!!

I received an email from the program director informing me of my acceptance one day after I interviewed with the PhD. committee!

TTPB: I have not heard back from them too. I do not want to ruin your day, but this is basically a rejection. They are going to offer admissions to those who are interviewing. Congrats to all of them.

Am I the only one who didn't receive interview invite?! Is this a bad sign? Can someone please answer this question :(

TTPB: I'm the other poster with the interview invite, and I got a survey monkey link where we're asked to fill in 5 names of faculty we may want to interview with, though they also noted that we might get matched with other faculty that could potentially be good research fits.

TTPB: I was the first poster who said I got an interview and I realize I made a mistake. Actually, the email was from the coordinator who CC'd the chair. I didn't realize the CC'd person was the chair (I assumed that was who I was interviewing with). So no, they did not tell me to communicate with whom I would like to speak to. Fwiw, I listed specific faculty in my statement and why we were a good fit. Maybe they are just getting those who I listed as POI?
