Shocked, but really grateful. 5 years of public service experience (govt & nonprofit), avg GRE quant score, letter of rec from WWS alumni. Deciding between WWS and HKS. For those who weren't accepted this year, don't despair! The process is super competitive and I'm sure all candidates were incredibly qualified; admissions decisions can be quite arbitrary..

WWS is very competitive and I am not surprised by this result. I have been admitted to many other top schools, including MPA-ID at HKS.

Applicant from India; 2 Years of post-undergraduate private sector work experience; 6 years of committed public service experience; Accepted to Harvard, UC Berkeley, Columbia and UChicago. Will choose between HKS and WWS!

Congrats to all admits! I got rejected-- the process is highly competitive!  Will share stats for future applicants (this is probably my last and only go at it): Attending top law school (applying for JD/MPA) dual, 3 years work experience at one of the organizations MPA feeds into (IMF, UN, etc.), letter of rec from P alumni who was invited to talk at the WWS. Still didn't get in! It really is a crapshoot!

Accepted to Columbia with partial scholarship, rejected by Harvard. Not sure what to do!

Extensive record in public service, significant experience and clear area of focus - I believe these things overcame a mediocre quant GRE score (which matters less for mid-career qualifications anyway).
