Uni of Pitts is very polite as usual. "After careful deliberation, the admissions committee did not recommend you for admission for the Fall 2026 term."

My POI said that they’ve been waiting the last candidate either accept or reject the offer. In case of him rejecting it, I will be invited to an interview next week.

Domestic applicant (Permanent resident) but latest degree (undergraduate) is from outside the US. Was offered Masters program (not funded) instead.

And here I thought they’d forgotten about me! Very generic rejection “dear applicant”

Emailed DGS on 3/6 and received a reply on 3/16 confirming that I am on the waitlist. This program is my top choice, so if anyone has received a better offer and plans to attend, I would really appreciate it if you could decline early to help the waitlist move along. Best wishes to everyone!

Rejected after interview. PI followed up mentioning if I don't get admit in the initial round, they would keep my application under consideration. But after initial round itself I received rejection and was recommended for Masters instead.
