Direct admit from supervisor whom I have indicated interest on the portal but no previous contacts. Columbia is on a rolling basis so if you haven't heard back in April like me its most likely someone holding on to your file while waiting for funding so don't give up!

It is my very last decision of my entire application season but Columbia is on a rolling basis so its to be expected. If you are applying and not hear back in April (like me no waitlist/rejection) there is a high chance that someone is holding on to your file while they wait for funding to be confirmed so be patience. (I was very close to accept another comparable PhD offer before I heard back but thankfully I didn't)! Good luck everyone!
