Rejected for PhD, offered MA admission. But I can't afford it :/

They sent a letter saying they had hoped to admit me, but that because of federal funding changes (*cough cough* the Big Beautiful Bill smh) they're not admitting a cohort this year at all. Yuck!

Interviewed by PI on 3.13, ghost, then rej

informal interview and formal interview with potential supervisor. very supportive professor and lab members. but i have to reject this offer :(

Inquiry via email. This is my top choice. If you have better offers, please reject this. All the best!

Initially was on "awaiting interview" status as informed by grad office but eventually rejected without an interview. Few pubs in conferences and journals.

Waitlisted after interview and visitation. If you know you don't want to attend and were accepted, please reject the admission.

Was accepted last year, but decided to put off grad school for a year to work abroad. I guess it was more competitive this year.

Ignore status. Has anyone received a decision from them?

Email to check portal. Had applied Jan 20. MA and BA in humanities, this was a sort of backup plan added at the last minute. 1a/11r/0p - got one fully funded offer from a good institution in my home field, second year of applying.
