To the poster below: why should that be the case? The guys below called both Jose and Amy, and according to both the decisions have not been sent out yet. Otherwise at least one would post the outcome here... But I also can‘t help waiting for the decision... It‘s my top choice program :D

Hey guys has anyone heard anything? Im wondering if those of us who havnt been notified yet will not be admitted? Any info helps!

Hi guys, I just called Mr Jose, the CoDirector of the program. He said the results will come out today or tomorrow (Boston time). So just wait and all the best to all!

Hi folks, Has anybody received an informal notification? Could it be the case that people who are admitted are notified by mail firstly and then receive the official letter for the department while unsuccessful applicants only receive a formal rejection letter later, or are all decisions posted at once?

Besides, did you call her on Saturday? Quite nice if they are working even on weekends ;)

Hi Josh, by saying Amy you mean Amy Shea-Slattery, right? AFAIK she is responsible for admissions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, to which the MEngM program belongs. Probably she meant that official offers will be sent out at the end of the month. Jose said end of this week (probably Monday or Tuesday will finally be the case), I suppose he meant the guys who are offered admission will receive an unofficial notification mail from him and the official department letter will come later.

To the poster below and to everyone else who is checking email 500 times a day I offer some small relief... I called up Amy in the graduate office and she stated that interviews are not necessarily a prerequisite for an offer of admission and that some get interviewed and some don’t. She also stated that hopefully they get the offers of admission out my the end of the month. With that said I’ll be continuing to obsess over incoming emails haha. Try not to worry... I don’t usually see this much passion in the corporate world so either way I’d be thrilled to grab a beer with each one of you and celebrate regardless! Good luck everyone! - Josh

I am the poster who was worried about not having received an interview: I asked the co-director if I can assume that I have been rejected if I have not received an interview. The following day, he offered me a 20-minutes-interview with him and Prof Hart (which actually lasted about half an hour). Pretty weird... I cannot imagine what happened. Isn‘t the interview time a bit too low (I heard from other applicants in the past that theirs lasted 1 hour).

To the question below... that's not necessarily true. Others have been admitted in the past without an interview. Think on the bright side, perhaps your application was so strong that an interview is not needed! Keep your spirits up... after all it is Pi Day!!! After my interview I was told that admissions decisions will be released by the end of this week (3/16). Not sure if Nor'easter will impact that date. Best of luck to everyone.

Still haven't heard anything from admissions

I heard from former applicants that interviews are conducted with shortlisted applicants. Has anyone already had an interview for Fall 2018 admissions? I have not received an interview invitation yet, can I assume that I will not be admitted?

Interview on 1 March.

Very excited! No funding offer but I will have to talk to the professors in my field about research positions.
