2nd round interview with POI

I was contacted by a PI. Discussed briefly about the lab and projects. We had aclose match in our research. I was also offered a campus visit in January (if possible).

I was contacted via email by two labs I expressed interest in at Duke. Both labs set up preliminary Zoom interviews to discuss their research and projects.

I finally got the last application answer I needed! An international student with at least three international experiences and one year of post-undergrad research.

No GRE, No scholarships 1 Conference paper, 1 Journal Paper under review, and 1 Conference Paper in prep. I guess I messed up with my video essay, but I somehow made it :) --- Other Univs I got accepted: Duke, Gatech, CMU, Pitt, Northwestern, USC Rejected: Stanford

Invitation for formal interview in-person

1 year research experience, 1 paper, 2 awards

PI of interest reached out for informal 30 min skype. Few days after skype received notification for formal in person interview at end of Feb.

Informal E-mail for interview by PI cited in my SoP. They said the official letters would be sent in the following weeks.
