This one really hurt.

More than cool with it because unlike the other programs that charge 100 reading fee and then send a blanket email to 200 people, Iowa is a free app (why I even applied) & actually writes 1000 people a letter in return. Iowa may not be a top choice and snail mail is a slow way to let people down, but it's not near the let down 100 bucks and 3 sentences addressed to the wrong name in return is. (LOOKIN AT YOU, AZ) No hard feelings, Iowa. We can still be friends, right?

They let me know that they've called very few people so far, so even if grad cafe and the fb Draft make it look like everyone's gotten in, keep your hopes up! I think most answers are coming in letter form. 1a/2w/2r

Short and sweet letter saying my application was denied. No bitterness. This is a super competitive career we're getting ourselves into. It's just part of the game.

Haven't heard anything back yet. Wondering if anyone hear anything yet? The office told me the decisions are made by the end of Feb. :( :( :(

Almost fell over when I saw the caller ID, had to call John D'Agata back because the music in my dining hall was too loud to hear. Funding info to come next week, waiting to hear back from a few places still.
