I got the call a week before the 15th. This was my only acceptance out of ten applications, and so I just wanted to post for everyone applying in the next cycle that you never know what will happen!

Strong LOR's and work experience did the trick. have confidence and simply apply. Having more than 4 years of experience sets you apart from the crowd. My GREs weren't stellar but, once again - being on the job for more than 5 years tells committees more than a stupid test.

Has anyone heard when the School of Information will be releasing admission results? I was told at one point that it would be the end of March, then at the end of last week... Lucky for me, I only submitted one application otherwise this would be outrageous.

Was waitlisted, received word today from program chair that no applicants on the waitlist are being admitted this year.

Admitted off the waitlist!! On April 15-- Talk about skin of my teeth! But this was my top choice, so I'm on cloud nine. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Got off the waitlist! I’m glad, but I have other options (and they didn’t even invite me to the campus visit, which is weird) so I don’t really have the time to even consider this at this point. Nice to know, I guess.

I had emailed UCI to let them know that I had not heard from them, but I had accepted an offer from another institution. It was then that they notified me that I had been waitlisted from UCI. Womp womp...

Damn! Expected this, but it sucks. My MA GPA was 3.97, but I am coming from outside the field. 3 presentations, one year of teaching experience, no publications.

Emailed by Graduate Advisor. Turned down the offer for another.
