Was interviewed and still rejected.

Hi all! Observing all of the rejections received by applicants to Brown yesterday, I want to wish everyone luck in their other application as well as ask has anyone received admission from Brown? Does anyone know when/how to anticipate it?

To the ling anth person who posted below (if you see this), congrats! Did you apply for the PhD in Anthropology, or the Joint ANLI program? I applied to the ANLI program, and just received acceptance from the School of Anthropology today. I won't be going to the anthro welcome weekend as I'm already going to the ling recruitment weekend.

Thought they'd ignored me, but then a surprise! An uplift of spirit while still waiting to hear from top programs. Subfield is linguistic anthropology (though not specified in offer letter). Not been interviewed before. Funding info to come.

Notified of status update on Grad 20 website. Letter by Admissions Committee of rejection due to limited spaces in the program.

To posters below, I was interviewed for Berkeley and then rejected. My application status says "Grad 20" but a rejection letter was also appended to my status update.

The ones who were accepted or rejected, have your status changed to "grad 20" on the website? Do you have any insights about what does it possibly mean?

For those who received a decision (either admitted or rejected) from the program, could you share what is listed? Does it say: "Application Status for NAME" or "Application Status for NAME Grad 20"?
