Recieved E-mail for interview from a professor, final decision by the third week of March!

Rejected - but with a nice handwritten note from Lan Samantha Chang that read, "This was very strong work." Simultaneously encouraging and heart wrenching.

Another rejection. If I glue my eyes shut there will be no more pain, no more pain.

Received the most tacky and unprofessional letter from Iowa. They combined someone else's name with mine, realized the mistake, and instead of correcting it and printing off a new letter, used correction tape to cover up the incorrect name in the header, and just left the incorrect name in the salutation. Perhaps they should rest a little less on their laurels.
