Did anyone from MASc ECE get called for an interview? If so when was it? And what's your specialisation

Got an interview invitation

Unofficial offer from POI. Had an informal call back in November and an interview in January. Gonna accept it as it was my dream school! Good luck to others. Profile: BTech+MTech from top-5 IIT. 1.5y work exp as a research engineer. No pubs. Area: Information Theory + Machine Learning

My TOEFL status is 'awaiting' too. I received a mail on Jan 7th saying that the process of matching scores to app profiles is taking longer due to the pandemic and that they will start reviewing applications with unofficial scores.

Official letter from the department. Interviewed by two POIs at late Jan. Area: Machine Learning + System.

No GRE. Got an email saying there is an update in my application.

TTPB: Congrats, Did you have any interviews before?

Accepted to ACSES track

Do the results come out on the EngineeringCAS portal or is there some other website?

Any tentative idea when the results come out?

TTPB: When did you get notification and what is your specialization in ECE.

Received eligibility notification.

To the USC ECE PhD poster below: Thanks for the details! Appreciate it. During my interview, I was told that usually students with fellowship can work with anyone they want and decide their advisor by the end of first or second semester. So I guess that's why there are are specifics about your admit. Nevertheless, good luck with everything!

I applied to Masters Program. I have not received any update. Application Submitted: December 08, 2020

Is Berkeley done choosing EECS PhD students?

Sorry about that, I'm the USC admitted poster below. I got an auto-email to check the portal, where there was a generic acceptance letter (Dated Feb. 5). It didn't have any details about what group I got admitted to, or what the funding is. I had a couple of interviews with Optics professors for the fellowship program about a month ago, and I applied right before the deadline ~Dec. 15. I didn't have any publications, but the Professors who wrote my LORs were all pretty well regarded.

To the USC ECE PhD Fall admit below: Congrats on your admit. They replied with your admission letter when you mailed to check status? I had 2 interviews in early Jan for the fellowship but haven't heard back anything yet. Can you provide a little info about whether you had any interview and your admission had any mention of funding/fellowship? That would be helpful.

My area of interest is optics, and I interviewed with a couple professors in that area in late December or early January.

TTPB: Can you share your profile/specialization? Also did you contact PoI or had an interview? It's just weird they are sending acceptances on weekends.

Emailed to check status, where there was a letter of generic letter of admission.
