Same poster as yesterday. Just received a phone call confirming the admission. Got rejected from so many others and got admission in my top choices WTF

TOEFL 92 and applied chemistry B.S degree. One of my favorite schools, so sad.

Received an email to check status update. Got an reject.

I mailed the grad committee three days back and they replied that the committee is in 2nd round of decision for next two weeks...however, one of my friends received an admit on 28th Feb..I really don't know what they are doing

3 years of research, 2 years in relevant field, no publications (1 in progress). I SURFed at Caltech in summer 2018. Final tally: 4A, 6R.

To anyone who get admitted to JHU, I am wondering whether they have sent enough letters. This year, I am seeing only one admission post and it makes me curious about if they really wanna take in enough students.
