Am a finalist for admission to the Fiction MFA program. Had the interview and am awaiting an official answer.

I had just given up hope. And on my birthday, no less! No funding, though.

Anyone care to share more about the process of being wait listed? Like when we might know/chances of getting in? Probably varies by campus, and where we are on the wait list...

Denied. Dreams shattered.

"I am pleased to inform you that the NEOMFA ("name") in creative writing program has accepted your application. The admissions committee found much merit in your work, and believes you have excellent potential for study in our program." AHHHHHHH - This was my third choice. No word on funding yet. I hope I get funding, otherwise I will have to turn it down 2a/0r/0w/5p

After a truly awful week, this was the perfect ending. 2a/1r/0w/2p

I don't know my place on the waitlist, and I don't know how long it is, just fyi. The email said that it's "very short," but that could mean anything.

I assume there goes Michener now too. Welp.

Kind form email. rn2a/0w/2r 5pending

This one was a blow. I am now realizing that the all the "don't worry about your GRE scores" assurances that I heard were false. Every rejection so far is from a program that required the test. My math scores were abysmal. 1a/0w/4r/5p.

got a really nice phone call while I was at work, funding TBA. (1a/3p)
