Generic and really short rejection letter from Columbia for their DMA in Music Composition program. No interview.

Email to check update in application portal. Acceptance email from Columbia GSAS came in a couple of hours later.

Quantum Simulation/Quantum Machine Learning - 7 months of computational research experience in a different field (nuclear engineering) - 16 months of industry internship in a different field (analog IC design) - undergrad in Engineering Physics (Canadian citizen) - reached out to two potential supervisors in December (kinda late I guess), one of them never responded, had a meeting with the other one but he said he could only take me on if I got NSERC (we don't hear back about NSERC until the end of March but somehow UBC already decided to reject me)

Heard most acceptances are out- looking forward to attending!

Only claiming that I am on a waitlist without any further information (e.g. the rank)

Did anyone get accepted into UBC j-school?2a/2p/0r

I'm currently a Columbia sociology MA student. They sent out a really nice email to the people who applied from the MA program and who were rejected. I'm definitely extremely disappointed as this was my top choice. They said they're only going to have around 6 people this year for soc PhDs. They stated it was very much just based on faculty fit, rather than my potential or performance in my program. 0a/1w/3r/2p

Undergrad from mid level, Ontario University, econ/fin major, Math minor (~15 math/stats classes)I am unfortunately getting zero funding which is quite a problem but will will see how everything plays out if anybody has any recommendations, please let me know. 2a/0r/6p

Ignore status. Has anyone heard from CSSW for fall 2023? Submitted application 12/30.
