Have been recommended for admission, with GTA

I got in contact with both the grad admissions chair and their graduate coordinator. Graduate coordinator pulled out my application and said there were few people ahead of me on the waitlist so it is probably not good news. Then later on grad chair also replied saying they are finalizing everything and expect to hear back a decision via the system. Usually if your decision is coming through the system rather than an email then there is a high chance that it is a rejection.

TTPB: No, I don't know anything about the interviews. Also, I didn't see anyone who got into the program. I hope that the committee hasn't sent the first wave results yet.

TTPB: I heard that one guy was interviewed on 1st March and admitted on 4th March. I didn't expect there will be an interview. Were you interviewed by the committee?

Admitted with TA assistantship.

No waitlist, I am just curious about the results. Did anyone hear something?

Does anyone receive any message from the department yet for master ?

Also applied to the Joint Public Policy program. Two years of relevant research experience. One published paper (first-author). 2 conferences presented at.

Well, I got the big reject. Did my bachelor's in Applied Math in Canada, I reckon I either didn't have enough upper-year courses when I applied (couldn't update my app with fall grades) or was lacking research. Regardless, UCB is a killer hard school to get in. Good luck to everyone else there
