Have international applicants received news from NCSU for chemical engineering? Thx

@TTPB, It seems like we have only slim chances to get in since they already sent out large proportion of PhD offers and the campus visit was also held. Good luck, buddy.

To the poster asking for CMU, they had both sessions of open house. The last one ended last week totaling around 35 students on both sessions, and they aim for 20 admits per year so it really depends. Good luck though.

Conditional offer. Applied with GPA of around 79% and they want me to graduate with at least 80%. I´ll most likely graduate with 81%. Two strong recomendations. Highest grade for thesis and project. One paper in a good journal and one conference paper.

Got rejection letter from the director of graduate admission committee.

I e-mailed the graduate chair and the graduate co-ordinator sent me the following e-mail. "Thank you for applying for graduate study in Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston. This is a very competitive program and the committee is still reviewing applications. If you have another offer, I suggest you take it. They will release more decisions by the end of the week. When there is a change in your Application Decision/Status you will be notified by email" Is it a implied rejection? Please comment!

Has anyone received anything from CMU for chemical engineering?

I have asked Purdue University when I will get admission. They replied "We have made all PhD offers for fall 2019. If you haven’t received a decision, we may be considering you for our Professional MS Program." It seems that we might not get phd admission.

An e-mail informing to check status on the website

“Unfortunately we are unable to offer you a place” same old generic email. I had almost perfect grades. Don’t know what the hell they want !

Any idea what they are doing? Any international students received admit yet?

Received email rejection in the middle of the night...

Email provided me with my Texas A&M issued Universal Identification Number (UIN), and prompt me to activate my NetID. After logged into Applicant Information System (AIS), found the graduate program rejection letter.

First reject. Didn't get email, but decision posted on CollegeNet site. Wasn't very interested in going there anyway, so oh well.. sour grapes.

Received email with NetID. Registered with the ID. 24 hours later decision appeared in (applicant.tamu.edu).

Got the following email: Every year the admissions committee receives more qualified applicants than can be admitted in to the program. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to extend to you an offer of admissions to our program.

To the poster below. Visiting weekend was held in Feb. I am sure some offers were sent out back then.
