Ess okay, Portland just wasn't for me!

Notified via email. Applied around 15 Dec.

To the Oregon State Admit below, how were you notified and, when did you apply?

Bummed. It was supposed to be safe.

No funding offered. Admitted to analog and mixed signals. Will be rejecting.

GRE 321, Avg. GPA and 2 yrs work exp in an unrelated field. Have admits from higher raking schools.

First Admit. So relieved. Mentioned interest in Computer Graphics, Visualization and Vision. No research and no work experience. Good SOP.

To poster below: I was only told "your application is still active, but we are awaiting responses from our current offers"

To the poster below: Did they give any indication that the waitlist was ordered or where you fall on it, or when you might hear back? If there were any personalized details, I'd want to email them too. Otherwise, I will just try to wait.

Emailed to check.

Never heard from them so I sent and email to the English dept. Was informed that I am on the waitlist.

Really disappointed about this rejection. Was my number one school and I was well above all the qualifications.

BS GPA: 14.85/20 --- MSc GPA: 17.53/20 --- TOEFL: 111 --- 2 published journal papers --- 3 under review journal papers --- 2 international conference papers

Kind of surprised but in retrospect, I think this is 100% about fit (or lack there of). I applied to Oregon mostly because of the location and wouldn't have really fit into the program so doesn't hurt too bad. Just Washington left so fingers firmly crossed...

To the query below, Thanks! I appeared for a Skype interview with the POI on the 4th of March.
