Went to UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad, currently taking a class in the school of social work. Volunteering with vulnerable populations consistently since elementary school and have been a social work intern (30 hours/week) for the past year.

TTPB: I was waitlisted on Feb 12 via email, talked to a prof a week ago, received an email yesterday saying I might get an offer in the next few days, received the offer this morning.

Was admitted to two other schools with same 'ranking' so I felt I had a strong application. I think this is a very competitive program!

Received email from POI (DJ) that she extended an offer to another student and can't extend one to me...bummer!

Was moved from the waitlist to acceptance in 2019, but declined. Regretfully so now that I have been declined admission this cycle. Congrats and best of luck to those admitted!

TBP: Look at earlier results and those from prior years. UNC seems to have a very weird strategy that includes sending many offers to people after the April 15th deadline. The other below poster is also correct they don't seem to send out rejections until May.

If you haven't received a rejection, it's a WL for OSU. When you are off the WL, your status changes from pending to accept. The official email comes a day or two after that. I am not sure about the other two but heard that UNC does not spread out rejections. They sent it in May last year.

Decline all other great offers. It is extremely competitive this year. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

[Not WL] TPB: Are you actually WL or haven't heard anything back from these programs? No email communication or portal change for me. Is it IR or presumed WL?
