Emailed to check portal. Was convinced it would be a no, as everyone else seemed to receive phone calls.

Applied to five schools, first one I've heard back from. Pretty bummed, but trying to stay positive.

welp

The person who got a acceptance email - had you had a prior interview before receiving your acceptance email? And did your website portal changed from "No Decision" to something else?

Anyone received a Fiction acceptance email from NYU? Thanks!

Email from program director. To earlier poster I didn’t ask about WL #s will wait and see but this was my top target. Congrats to those accepted!

Email to check updated status.

Surprisingly nice form rejection!

Like what else did I expect? lol...but at least they could've given me 2 hours to recover from Vanderbilt. 5r/0a/0w/8p....Chin up! And we keep on writing!

Form email, same as below.

"Thank you for your application for a Stegner Fellowship. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you a place in the program. However, we wanted to let you know that your application was read with great care and appreciation. It is through the vibrancy and commitment of work like yours that the program is able to depend on an applicant pool of immense talent. Every year, after reading the submissions, all of us wish we had more fellowships to offer. We want to thank you for your interest in the Stanford Creative Writing Program, and offer you our best wishes for your future work. - Stanford University Creative Writing Program"

How many people did you send this to? Y'all playing with my heart and I am salty as hell.

Does anyone know if NYU has finished notifying people with acceptances for fiction?

I was the first call. Waiting on official letter/funding info. 3a/1w/1r/5p
