PLEASE turn down your offer to Stanford if you're not attending!!! My last option on the table. THANK YOU!!

Yay! I will be flying to San Francisco!

top Chinese university, EE background. interested in optics/photonics and quantum information. 1-year research experience in optics, 1 paper under review. I am rejected by all top universities I applied for, and Stanford is the last one.

Generic double-rejection email and a third one saying there was a glitch in the system.

(Ignore waitlist) Has anyone heard back from the SDC track? The waiting is just so grueling and it seems like SDC is always the last to release results.

Rejected without interview. Applying from undergrad with forthcoming publications, conference presentations, and major awards.

Gutted, but there is always next year.

I'm happy that humanity is not doomed. If I got admitted, then there is a huge problem with this generation.

3 years of research (including REU at Stanford); 1 data analyst internship; 3 enthusiastic LORs

Stanford University AP Ph.D. program. I have had two NSF REUs, two years of research experience during undergrad in physics/ECE, and two primary-author publications. I had a nice interview with the admissions committee on 3/11 (Friday). I'm interested in optics, photonics, and ultrafast. One of my top choices and I am so excited! Good luck to everyone!

Got a call from Carissa around 4pm PST! Now to decide between a few programs!

Ignore waitlist. Did anyone receive admission notification from Applied Physics Masters program here? Has Stanford sent any offers by now? Thanks for the info!!

Disappointed. 2 pubs, relevant graduate coursework, 2 relevant internships, advisors said my LORs and SOP were very strong.
