Rejection after an interview on Sunday. Bummer. GPA is MA.

Had an interview as a "finalist" last week via skype, they mostly wanted to know what other schools I applied to and were surprised by my selectivity. I wonder if that impacted the decision or what even the purpose of the interview was.

To the C&I PhD poster below, do you hear anything about funding?

Uhhh got an offer without financial aid...

I sent the email inquiry and was told that I was not accepted.

Had an informal phone interview recently. The professor told me that they are recruiting more than usual this year and shortlisted candidates are all getting phone calls. May have another round of interview in a few weeks.

DGS sent a personal email saying that I was accepted and would get a formal funding package in about two weeks. Email came less than a week after Skype interview with DGS and a few professors in my field of study.

Pleasantly surprised!

My POI sent me an email. I should receive a formal letter soon.

No financial aids. Does anyone know how I can receive funding opportunities. Is it general situation? Or di I have to regard this admission as one of rejection. Thanks

Anyone hear from them yet?? Still nothing...

At least it came earlier than last year. But I really wish they can send it through email. Like there's a difference.

Had to wait 2 months to hear a reply. "While we were fortunate to have many highly qualified candidates, the intense competition and limited number of fellowships/assistantships required us to decline admission to many good applicants such as you."

Emailed me asked whether I am still interested in the program. If interested, then we may have an interview through phone.

Informal email from DGS notifying me of admission and funding offer. Said I will receive the formal offer within the next two weeks. Interviewed previously w/ faculty in my area of study over skype.

Technically an unofficial acceptance, since they are still putting together funding packages.
