"You have been recommended for admission without financial support."

I checked the website after seeing people post. One line "your name has been placed on a waitlist" buried in my application. No email, no phonecall. Happy to be waitlisted but I wouldn't have known until April 15...

To be interviewed for TA-ship with a very good stipend.

As others have said, just a status change on the website. The department was quite unorganized during the process so I am not surprised that the notification was unprofessional.

Couldn't they bother emailing people? Unprofessional. Checked the website after seeing posters.

Website check. Moderately bummed - lots of cool stuff going on there, but headed off to another great program. Congrats to those admitted.

Website check after seeing the others here.

CITE. Emailed POI.

To those who are waitlisted, currently there isn't a way that I see to decline the offer online. I think I have to decline via a form in the mail which hasn't come yet, so it'll probably be another two weeks before they start knowing who declined. I'm CME and will decline when I can. Good luck!

hep-th. I am waitlisted at Rutgers, Duke, Chapel Hill and Virginia Tech. Please decline soon if you are not interested in their offers.

Asked the status. If you are not planing to come here, please decline your offer. Thank you for helping me with my dream!

Checked status on website after another poster had done the same. Not surprised, as I had assumed rejection at this point, but a tad annoyed that they didn't bother to send an email.

Random website check after seeing some postings on here.

I wasn't keen on the idea of being a Jersey boy, anyway.

Random check on website - showed status change: "Committee has reviewed your application. Admission denied."
