Finally first admit!

Admitted to Qualifying year. So surprised as I don't have strong math background.

Received email to check status, refused. Super heartbreaking. Congrats to those that have been accepted!

After a lot of waiting, finally an e-mail directing to check application portal. Expected this response but still heartbroken :(

Qualifying year- Checked uapply today and found my admission offer enclosed. So excited!!!!!!

Email to check status on online and found refused. Email to POI for reasons, replied after 2 weeks saying due to the decreasing CAD dollars, she is not going to take any student for Fall, 2015. Stupid reason and stupid professor who encouraged to me apply at the very beginning

Still waiting for a response even though I have a feeling I might get reject, but at least that would put me out of misery. McGill why you do this :(

I am also waiting to hear back from McGill for the Urban Planning program. I emailed them twice almost a month ago and I'm still waiting for a response. I'm assuming whoever has not been contacted yet is probably on hold, below the waitlist yet not an outright rejection.

Is anyone else still waiting to hear anything about McGill MUP? Should we be giving up hope at this point to hear back good news? Wish they would just give a notification one way or another to end this waiting game.

Well that was a long wait. Waiting to hear on funding, which will determine my decision. Been accepted to Guildhall, RAM and UofT.

Received following communication from ME grad office: "Most of the offers for the PhD and MEng Thesis programs have already gone out so the chance of being admitted now is quite low. However, professors are still able to offer positions. Therefore, international students will not hear of final decisions until the end of April and domestic students as late as June."

Offered full funding. Also accepted at Oxford but with no funding. Accepting McGill's offer due to the funding and fit with the program.

Canadian student. Master of Philosophy completed with 3.7 GPA. No word on funding.

To McGill CS PhD informal admit through POI on March 9, how many days did it take to get formal letter. Did it include funding?

Post-interview rejection.

So stoked because I expected a letter of rejection. Accepted to 2 other schools but this is my #1 and I don't actually know what I will do if I end up being accepted. Probably cry, a lot. How professional.
