I was the one who posted UW acceptance. From the posts I saw on this forum, I think that the department does not have enough funding to offer assistantships to MS students. I will be rejecting this offer to accept a PhD offer at a better school

Without any interview and would not got a notice for joining the Virtual info session in February, 9% of admission this year, and transfer to MS application, Good luck for all. Mid-level GPA, Strong LOR, Strong SOP, One journal paper as 1st author, one paper submitted as 1st author, and one conference paper in MRS as 1st author. lol

Generic Rejection Letter saying they received 600 applications.

hated this season. 3 yrs of research in relevant area, 2 pubs plus several grad classes. Looks like it is my fault for being an international.

This hurts. I guess that UW, despite its newness, is as fiercely competitive as other top-tier film schools in the nation. :(

Got admitted into multiple top 10 physics schools and Ivies so not really upset, but it really goes to show that this entire process is really hit or miss, especially for international students.
