Received email from grad director and notified about nomination for the Letters and Sciences CGRS fellowship. If selected 2 years of research funding.

5 year funding package; ~23K stipend, including summers

Waitlisted for the program. They had 41 applicants and only had 6 spots available.

No GRE. The letter notifying me of my waitlist complimented my scholarly promise and said I would be updated as soon as they know they for sure cannot extend an offer. A really great fit! I hope it works out :)

Ignore status. Has anyone heard from UCSC sociology?

super good fit, and i'm super excited to have this acceptance! 2a/0r/0w/10p

Invited to a lab meeting and interviewed afterward. Seemed very positive. Haven't heard anything since but was told that mid / late February was likely. I don't think this professor is on the admissions committee this year.

Email saying that they're admitting fewer students than in the past. A bit disappointed cuz it's such a good fit :(

First result coming up. Kinda upset since it's a good fit + 2 LoRs from sociology faculty there. Congrats to those who got admitted and good luck to all!
