Got an official email from the graduate admissions office and a personal email directly from the advisor. Was never the 4.0 student but I showed real drive and passion. Pulled all A's in my final semester on a few key courses (Petrology, Geochemistry, Calc 3). Had two poster presentations at conferences and a few undergraduate research papers (not published). Also had a few semesters working in a lab. Don't give up, anything is possible.

GPA is master's. Thanks god first acceptance.

Did an informal interview online with two PIs a few days before I received the email. There was no information about funding at all and I'm wondering if that was the case for anyone else?
