I was accepted 29 January 2021 and just now on 3/19 have declined the offer. I was an out-of-state student offered full funding (tuition, TA-ship). I hope this helps someone on the waitlist or who hasn't heard back yet.

Kinda Disappointed.

First reject. 1 Journal submitted, 1 Conference accepted working on another paper, 3 internships(all relevant). currently, Assistant at a lab working on self-driving cars. Applied for Intelligent systems and controls, undergrad majors is control systems.

After rejection from PhD program, was invited to continue with the masters decisions and got in :)

Top 5 IIT, 1 workshop publication in CVPR, Multiple CV projects, 1.5 year work as an SDE in MnC, field : Computer Vision,

Top 5 IITs, upper 8 pointer, 1 year work ex as SWE in top MnC, 1 year of research ex in Computer Vision, high GRE and TOEFL scores.

To the UCSD PB: they have sent several offers after the interview.

Had a long interview with my potential POI. He said the process is delayed in almost all the universities due to covid, so it is taking time to make decisions. For me he said, he will rolling decisions within one-week. Our profile(Area: AI hardware) is highly matching and the prof said he is also excited. Hoping for acceptance.

Is it over already? There is no activity here!! Has anyone heard anything from the department? (Or Applied Electromagnetics Group)

Recommended for (unfunded) MS admission, will probably take this if I get no other offers. You can petition to transfer to PhD at the end of your first year. GRE not submitted but included for perspective.
