No email. Had to check the portal. A one sentence rejection: "Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission." At least I got in elsewhere lol. 2a/2r/8p

Got an email to check portal at 9:00pm. Got admitted with a certificate of admission. No information about funding yet though.

Checked the portal to find the infamous one-sentence rejection. No email, but I wasn't expecting to get one since the platform never sent out any automated notifications (I even reached out to the IT team back then and they replied that's how it normally works). Not the faculty's fault, though. Just be aware if you are applying next season!

Very sad. And terrible "letter". 0a/1w/10r/3p

email to check portal

The portal says acceptance and only acceptance... should I be worried about not being funded?

Received email from advisor on 1/14 indicating I was accepted with funding still being figured out. Follow up on 2/12 confirmed acceptance. Still have not received official letter, but expected soon. 1 solo author publication, 3 conference poster presentations, frequent sci comm speaker, 10 year history of working in the field. 4.0 Masters GPA, large gap between Masters and UG (~9 years) and 5 year gap between Masters and beginning PhD.

Rejection without interview. MS CGPA-3.53; 6 years research experience, 5 publication
