I had an internship at Microsoft AI (with a rec letter from a director in the AI research department I worked in), 2 ML publications, and currently do ML research at a robotics start up. Grad admissions is a scam.

A word of warning to International students applying for NU. from what I heard, NU has a very high rank of rejecting international students with financial needs due to low endowment. it's a shame how many internationals had to literary wait till the last day to hear the rejection. think twice before applying to this university again.

Got an "Offer of Admission" email. Applied on 25th December. International Student. 8.85/10 CGPA from a Tier-2 university. 2 internships. Good LoRs and SOP.

I think they mostly reject Internationals because of visa difficulties during covid. I heard about 50% of these students won't be able to attend because the US embassy in most countries doesn't issue F1 or J.

Sorry forgot to add , I applied on Dec 29th 2020.

Hey here: GPA : 8.4/10. Tier 2 private university (Among the likes of VIT, Manipal, KIIT, SRM) GRE : 325( 167Q) Almost 4 YOE at a top MNC (FAANG level) Glad to see someone had applied for ms cs at nw. Till now I havent found another soul! :D I thought I was the only one applying here.

Not WL. At this point, should we just be expecting rejections?

Did my undergrad here, and am still waiting for other schools. This is among my top choices.

Got a rejection for my PhD application and a mail telling it's still under consideration for masters

Accepted for Align Master's of computer science to the Vancouver campus, don't know it's good enough or not.

Received an email at 11am CT telling me to check my applicant portal for a decision. Sort of anticipated. Stats for those who are interested: undergrad CGPA: 3.814 at a reputable R1 state university. 3 years of research experience, strong LoRs, good essays (probably?), a research fellowship and a number of projects and awards, but my majors were in astrophysics and math, not CS. GG, good luck to the rest of you :)

I couldn't complete my application before the first deadline. Boston campus was my first choice, but I'm admitted to my second choice, SF campus. I'm being told that this was due to COVID limitations at Boston campus. Research experience for 1 semester (graduation project), work experience in a unicorn SF-based company (overseas office) as a SWE for 1.5 years.

Undergrad from BITS Pilani non-CS major.

Rejected for MS CS at NEU Boston. Was instead recommended to apply to NCH London.

Got rejected from my safe school. Tier-1 Indian University, 8.49 CGPA, 3 years of work experience, Strong LoRs, no publications. Doesn't seem like any admits coming my way now.

Emailed to check the website. I did not take the GRE. Top 15 UK uni
