Unfortunately, the number of applicants for financial assistance has far exceeded the support available, and therefore we are not able to offer you funding. Please keep in mind that you have been enthusiastically admitted, and we sincerely hope that you will be able to join us this fall.

POI sent me an email, saying the official letter would come soon. Received the official acceptance one day later.

3rd gen IIT (8.5+ CGPA), 324 in GRE. Decent to strong LoRs. Quite personalized SoP mentioning groups with whom I would like to work. No pubs but 9 months of part-time research experience in ML applications. 5 months of ongoing work exp at an MNC at the time of applying. Congrats to all the admits! Rejects: dont worry, theres another door of opportunity waiting!

Admitted after getting rejected from PhD after interviews and deferred my application to the MS admission cycle.

no GRE

Rejection email found in my spam box. Very competitive program, really wasn't expecting anything. Congrats to anyone who got in!

Not only did I get a rejection email, but it was also a rejection email where the same paragraph was copied over and over again addressing to different names.....So they really did leak other applicants' names and rejection status. Wow.

Some research experience + work ex in quant finance. Congrats to all who got in

Can't believe I got in, so happy! This is to everyone who said I couldn't make it because I'm a female minority applicant. Sorry waitlisters, but this spot is taken!

Took Stanford courses NDO, got a 4.2 GPA (only As and A+s), worked in a Stanford lab for a year, won project awards in my Stanford courses. A bunch of other stuff as well, but if I mention them it will be very easy to identify me. Good SOP, extremely strong LORs written by an impressive group that included Stanford professors. There are people out there saying that if you get a graduate certificate at Stanford you are basically guaranteed admission. This is NOT the case; I know of 3-4 people in similar shape to me that got rejected this cycle.

No interview; generic letter

Indian student, Old IIT, GPA 9.7+ Exp: 2 research internships (Univs) + 1 industry internship, and some research done under UG Thesis Total 5 papers (but none of them is in a top A* venue and I'm the first author for only one of them). Graduated last year and am currently in an AI residency role at a FAANG company.
