To the query below. I have just mentioned my basic interest is probability. So they said it's not fit for them and hence didn't consider for an offer.

I e-mailed the admissions office to inquire about my application, and am sad to say that I have been rejected for both the PhD and terminal MA programs.

Emailed to ask my status and was told couldn't be considered since my main area of interest is not a fit for them as their main probabilist left the department. So if u have applied and put probability as your main area of interest, tough luck.

Accepted into STEPS, awaiting decision on funding. Travel abroad experience in Spanish-speaking country in college, as well as experience teaching English in different Spanish-speaking country. Honors undergraduate thesis experience as well as 2 years of clinical experience. Good luck to everyone else!

Waiting for decision on funding.

Got my acceptance email as I was heading home from the campus visit/interview (Feb 25-27)! I have my Master's degree, 2+ years full-time research experience, a publication, an ok GRE score.

Denied for STEPS, unfortunately. On the waitlist for funding. I have lots of research experience, have presented my work at conferences, have a double major in Spanish, am an Honors College student, wrote a Capstone Thesis, teach ESL, have extensive clinical experience, and studied abroad twice.
