To the post below, I was unofficially notified by POI about 10 days ago, and received an offer letter from the department head at UIUC yesterday. Coming from a top master's program with a strong letter from well-known professor.

Is there anyone who got accepted or another information from ECE PhD of UIUC? When is expected time to know the result of ECE PHD of UIUC?

I received the acceptance mail. the portal is not updated, is this normal? What is the next step? Your help is much appreciated.

To people waiting for Berkeley admissions: Berkeley normally sends out their admissions in batch, which means if you haven't heard from them it's basically a sign of rejection already. It usually takes up to a month or so for them to update the portal and send out the rejection letters.

To the Question below: interview in person February 14th, so no decisions yet. I think they've pretty much got their shortlist. my background: 166 Q, 163 V, 3.6 GPA from an ivy.... one year of relevant research at a national labs but no publications for anything.... hope this helps!

To the poster who got interview, can you share your profile. What is your domain of research? Also is there any update on your interview decision yet?

For those who are curious about the "Grad 20" on the portal, EVERYONE has that on their portals. Stop dreaming that the "Grad 20" is something related to admission. Furthermore, most of the admissions letters were sent out on 1/31. If you don't received that email like me, you're 99% rejected. Pull yourself together and move on.

An international. My status changed to Grad 20 on portal. Does there anyone know what it means? I didn't get email or further updated. Still waiting for email... so nervous ...

No interview but POI knows me well. Got the email from EE chair that I was recommended for admission... Really excited.

My status still says GRAD 20 on the application website. Nothing has changed on the application website since receiving my acceptance offer through email. My track is nanotechnology. - RL
