Emailed to check portal for decision. Feeling totally gutted. Had a fantastic fit with multiple faculty, 9 years of research experience, 2 publications, 1 in progress, 1 under review, 1 conference presentation, 1 invited peer review I conducted myself and an invited peer book review for a journal in progress too. Am blown away by this rejection and quite frankly don't know how to cope - I don't know how I possibly could have been more competitive of a candidate.

American citizen who grew up in UK. I got a call from Professor I wanted to work with. I applied last year and didn't get in, so feeling great. Good luck to all. 1a/0r/0w/11
