Received an email to check the portal. Admitted into the MSW program but rejected from the PhD program (applied for the dual). I was accepted into the Sociology PhD program though and that is my top choice.

Sad, but not all that surprised at this point. It is very late in the season and I had no received any request for interviews

Has anyone - especially International students - heard anything about decisions for this program? Anyone else still waiting? (please ignore the “waitlist” designation; “other” was not available)

I applied to the MSW-PhD program. I received an email to check my status. The "congratulations" was a bit misleading because at the bottom of the letter it stated "you have been admitted to the MSW program only," omitting the fact that I had been rejected by the program I applied to. I believe that many more applicants to the MSW program get accepted because this program isn't funded and the Ph.D. program is. I did not accept this offer.

I appreciated the email which told me flat out that I was rejected rather than having to click through the application to FIND my rejection notice.

I applied to the MSW-PhD program, and when I got rejected from that program, they sent my application to the MSW admissions for consideration. I was accepted to the MSW after consideration. The master's program does not offer financial assistance, so they are able to admit more students to the MSW program because the students will have to fund themselves. I did not accept this offer.

Got an email to check the portal. "Congratulations, it is my pleasure to inform you that the Social Work MSW Graduate Admissions Committee, in conjunction with The Graduate School, has approved your admission for graduate studies at the University of Connecticut for Fall 2021 on the Hartford campus. Please inform The Graduate School as soon as possible whether or not you plan to accept our offer of admission. You can notify us through the enrollment form on your applicant status portal. If we do not receive a response to this offer, we will assume that you are not accepting admission."

Response to other Syracuse applicant: I reached out to my PI because I hadn't heard anything: LM. She said their interviews are over and even though they all agreed I'm highly qualified, they do not have a spot for me :(

Rejection. Super sad but I have to accept the results. It is what it is. I hope anyone who accepts the offer would enjoy their life in Cambridge and Boston.
