email from poi, I like that you can read "I am sorry to inform you" without even clicking on the email (because otherwise you still have some false hope, and that's worse).

Emailed GPC to inquire about admissions results and this is what they answered: "because there were few spaces available for new students. we have placed you on our waitlist for admission to the program for Fall 2020." Curious to know if they actually took on any Sociocultural Anthropology students this year, as I have heard sometimes this can really vary from one year to the next.

Has anyone heard back about a PhD in Anthropology? I applied December 20th and my application status has not changed (so it's been almost 9 weeks). Admissions said they have a big stack of applications to go through still and Anthropology says they won't see my application until its approved by the admissions department.

Has anybody heard from Bio-Anth program yet? I've only seen sociocultural results listed.

Standard Rejection Email from a POI

DGS answered an email I sent him and told me that they made their decision. I was not accepted and they only accepted one person in this track . The decisisons will come out soon I guess as they had there final meeting yesterday

got an email to check portal. seemed like a standard rejection letter until I read "If in the future you feel that your accomplishments may be competitive, do not hesitate to reapply" wtf???

Confirmed on phone call: all acceptance decisions have already been sent out. Official rejections are coming in early march. If you have applied for referral to MAPSS program, check with admissions office to see if you have been referred!

Recieved email from program coordinator. GPA from M.S.Ed. Did not have an interview. Wrote this off as impossibile because they say an MA in anthro is a virtual pre-requisite. Absolutely shocked and humbled.

Received email I was rejected from the PhD program, but accepted into the Master's in Public Anthropology program. Anyone have any info on the Master's program?
