Track: Power and Energy Systems

Rejected! High GPA, some research experience, 1 conf presentation/publication, also had full funding through work (though I don't know if that's considered). Interviewed in January. Time to move on.. next!

UCSD student. 3 Professor LOR - 1 from department head. 1 year of research experience.

3.84 undergraduate GPA from highly ranked university, three strong LOR, two years of undergraduate research, and one first author publication. Disappointed but not surprised. Congratulations to everyone who got in!

Any suggestions? Should I wait until mid-April or accept other universities?

To the people admitted to the masters program, have you guys received an official acceptance from the graduate division yet?

So sad.

Applied to direct PhD in ECE. Received email with positive decision(no funding mentioned yet). No interviews taken before admit offered, lab told to reach after admits- Now in discussion with the prof for RA position in the lab. Interest Area: Image Processing. One friend also received admit on same day. All the best to all other applicants :)

Applied for direct PhD in ECE. Got email to check decision letter on the website. Specialisation area- CCSP. Nothing mentioned about funding yet. Same day one of my friend also received admit. In discussion with one Prof. for supervision. All the best to all applicants!

I was admitted into the DICE track o Feb 8th with GRA from POI. My understanding is that the committee made a few offers initially and the faculty are making offers later on a rolling basis. Considering the snowstorm and university closing down last week (and still closed), I think there might be some delay compared to last year to roll out all the offers. Don't lose hope. Good luck!

TTPB: Is this related to Urbana-Champaign campus or Chicago?

Has anyone applied to the DICE track and got a reply? I have not heard anything from UT austin.
